Yorgos Foudoulis Culture Award 2026
Music Across Borders
World Guitar Day, observed on October 18, celebrates the guitar and the musicians who share their work with the world. Founded by Yorgos Foudoulis, the occasion highlights how music brings people together.
Vinh Nguyen’s award recognizes his dedication to music and cultural exchange. A song can carry a feeling or a story, even when the listener speaks a different language.
“We come from different places, but music gives us something we can share.”

I believe music gives us another way to tell our stories. As a writer and recording artist, I know that creative work often carries feelings we cannot easily put into words.
What matters to me about this award is the recognition of an artist’s dedication. Every musician brings something of their own life and culture into the work they share.
I congratulate Vinh Nguyen on this honor. I also recognize Yorgos Foudoulis and the organization behind the award for celebrating music and cultural exchange.
